PLANB have been appointed to represent the right to broadcast and marketing for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics

Mr. Palin Lojanagosin, Director and Chief Executive Officer of Plan B Media Public Company Limited (PLANB) revealed that PLANB's Board has approved the signing with Dentsu Group Inc. Japan, which acquires and holds a variety of rights from the International Olympic Committee to hold exclusive sales rights for broadcasting, marketing and merchandising for 4 events; Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Dakar 2022 Summer Olympics and Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympics. The marketing rights in which PLANB is the sole executive representative for Thailand including; 1. Broadcasting rights 2. Right to managing sponsorships 3. Content management rights.

The Olympics are considered to be the greatest athlete of all mankind for all time with a global audience of 4,000 million people. The most popular program for Thai people is the Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. There are 339 events which are organised around 33 sports, scheduled to take place between 24 July and 9 August 2020. The vision for this Olympics is to supplement innovation and technology to the sporting events with 3 values; 1. Potential development to the highest point 2. acceptance and understanding of cultural diversity 3. Successful future. In addition, there are other competitions in which PLANB hold exclusive sales rights, such as Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing, China between 4-20 February 2022, Winter Youth Olympics 2020 in Lausanne, Switzerland between 9-22 January 2020 and Youth Olympics 2020 in Dakar, Senegal.

The appointment to be the exclusive sale rights for broadcasting, marketing and merchandising official of Olympics’ purpose is to promote participation in creating opportunities to view important sports events of all humanity to reach Thai people thoroughly, which will help create happiness for everyone in helping to encourage the Thai national team athletes to the Olympic gold medals together. The purpose is to corporate with both public and private partners in broadcasting the competition in different platforms so that everyone is able to support the Thai national team from various channels, anytime, anywhere. Moreover, the Company also have plans to create activities to unite and motivate our athletes during a pre-competition period continuously for 1 year in advance. Including promoting Olympic content through Plan B's advertising media networks and partners through all platforms nationwide. Including see the benefits from the right that will be increase long-term value added to the sport industry of Thailand in the long term by encouraging young people with interest in playing sports. This can enhance health and the ability to compete of the Thai sports industry to the national level in the future.

Moreover, As a representative of broadcasting and marketing rights for Olympic sports in the country will helps the Company to diversified business portfolio through sport marketing business which currently has the official rights to manage the interests of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) and Thai league Company limited since 2016 that generated commercial revenue from marketing activities which is aimed to engage people through sport contents and generated revenue to promote and support Football industry and increased footballs popularity  during the past three years.
